hey, remember when live journal was cool? [07 Jan 2005|06:59pm]
i was reading today on some internet news site that livejournal was being sold to another company. then i heard that was rumor. then i remembered i don't really care. then i remembered i had this thing. then i went through reading some things that happened to me over a year ago. its odd how people change without even realizing it. i'd like to think i'm more confident here on this date. and a note to myself if i ever stumble upon this site in the future, and it's still around, is that i think i'm happier these days. i'd like to remember that. goodbye for an unforseen length of time people. take care.

i haven't updated this thing in forever. i've been getting that itch to turn 21 (7 weeks) so i've been trying to stay super busy to keep my mind off it. it's only bad now while i'm at work, and in the morning before work. ugh.

Life As Numbers is playing a show on 8/23/2003, and everyone should attend. you get a free copy of our new E.P. if you do attend. SO what better way to spend your Saturday then with us?

I registered for school yesterday. 4 nights a week and an internet class. Should be a lot of work. we'll see if i snap under the pressure.

Saturday night I'm going up to Hollywood and the Roxy to see Noise Ratchet play. Deana works for Surf Dog, so she's getting us in there since she has to be there for the show anyway. Awesome.

Last but not least for today, I need to budget my time a lot better than I do now. I'm supposed to do some recording for Larger than Life today, as well as go to Ikea to get me a spot for my T.V. to sit dormant. Although I didn't clean out where the T.V. is going to go, so i might not go to ikea and just do the LTL recording. Yep. I think that's what I'll do. Later peeps.

Party In Dehesa [08 Jul 2003|08:56pm]
Ok. So go out 8 from which ever direction. Get off on 2nd street, go south towards Rancho San Diego. make a left on Washington Street (you'll be heading east). Take that out past the Golf Course, and the lake (the lake will be on your right)... once you round the bend (you'll be heading north on the same road) you'll be looking for Quale Haven Ln on your right. That road will contain the party house. They'll have signs down at the bottom of the street. If you hit the 3 way Stop Sign, you've gone too far. Questions, call me at 619.277.1051.

Full bar, free, live band, wednesday night, and everyone has thursday off for warped tour. So yeah, everyones invited!

sometimes you just want to hide. thats exactly how i feel right now. i don't have anything really to hide from, i just want to get away from everything right now without burning every bridge i've built. i'm not sure how to accomplish this. hmph.

such a long day, and its about to get longer. today was just bad. work was slow, kim was in a bad mood, i f'd stuff up, etc. after work i went to TB practice, and quit in a most unfortunate way. its for the better, i really don't have time for it, but in retrospect i wish i wasnt such an asshole about it. oh well.

i want to go surfing.

alright, so i'm bored. i've been reading around on the good ol' internet this evening (since i'm poor) and i've stumbled upon something. this country is in a major funk. and it seems as if no one cares. i mean, look at our president... he started an open ended war on terrorism. yahoo! the executive branch of the governement can now abridge the liberties set forth by the constitution... which means that document is worthless. and without a document curbing the power of the government, there is only a thinly vailed trust that said governement will not openly (although I argue it has behind closed doors) revoke the power of the people. something we should as americans hold to be self evident. although in a world of fast food, digital cable, watered down news stories that don't print/tell the truth... it seems the majority rule of society has either switched to apathy, or blind obediance. who ever said it was patriotic to wave the flag and thank the army for protecting us? it is patriotic to stand up for the notion of liberty, and the rights of human beings... because that is what the concept of the united states government was founded to defend. just like every great society, i think our golden age has passed... that we've become to weighed down with things that don't matter, and have lost the ability to see what made this nation great. can we get it back as a people? i doubt it. because that would involve sacrifice... that would involve self research instead of listening to fox news telling me what the truth is. i just look around at the people i see around me, and they're blissfully ignorant of what is changing. and be damned if i point it out, "you're so unamerican" they cry... i say you're unamerican if you don't notice that the ideals that this nation was founded upon are being usurped by greed and ignorance in whatever form they take. be it the president, or our personal greed. its just wrong, and we, as a nation, as a people need to see past the problems, and take back the pure idea of liberty that is being taken from us. thanks, i'm done ranting.

Today is the company picnic. you know what sucks about that (besides the fact that i'm not sure where it is?)... it's in the middle of the day, it costs 5 dollars, and its basically manditory unless you need the COO, CEO, and CFO of the company to have a vendetta against you. Which is something I don't need. so now i have to go hang out with people I don't like for five bucks. God Bless America. <3

i went to the resolver show at Soma last night. they went on first, so steve and i went down there to see them play. i also dropped our demo off with len. i dunno about that guy. but hopefully we can pull a draw. that'd be nice.

its already thursday. working full time makes the week just fly by for me. soon it will be payday (tomorrow) and i'll have lots of bills to shell out for. *sigh*

dammit i'm bored.

so i started my new job today. it seems like it'll be a pretty good job for the next year or so. it pays $12.25 an hour, which is really good for me. it translates to me probably being able to get myself out of debt. the only downside is i have to go 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, but eh... at least i don't spend money. plus tonight i'm so bored anyway, i would have probably been this bored all day... so its best that i went to work. i'm going again tomorrow too. so i'm going to burn a cd and watch office space. goodnight. <3
